Greetings, and welcome to the SYSADMINAFTERDARK COMMUNITY!!!

First things first, a quick introduction. I'm @sysadminafterdark, the owner and operator of this place. You may know me from YouTube, social media, or just randomly stumbling in here. Either way, welcome! I also want to introduce @mandolinsara as our resident Mod and HBIC. Be nice, or else.

I figured we needed a place to post long form discussions now that Discord and Twitter Communities are in a state of...err...flux. So here we are!

Over on the sidebar you'll find 10 categories:

General - A place for introductions, off-topic conversations, and anything that doesn't fit elsewhere. Welcome to the community.
Compute - Servers, rack hardware, compute nodes, and the physical infrastructure that powers your lab. If you can rack it, stack it, or bolt it in, it belongs here.
Network - From firewalls and switches to DNS, VLANs, and WiFi, everything that keeps your packets moving.
Storage - Hard drives, SSDs, NAS, SAN, ZFS, RAID, backups, and object storage, because data doesn't store itself.
Endpoint - Phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and the MDM tools to manage them all, every device that connects to your infrastructure.
Software - From bare metal to the browser, Linux, Windows, macOS, firmware, and everything in between that makes your hardware actually do something.
Virtualization & Containers - Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes, LXC, and everything in between, because why run one OS when you can run dozens?
Security - Hardening, PKI, identity management, certificates, CVEs, and everything else standing between you and a bad day.
Development - Code, scripts, APIs, automation, IaC, and the homelab tooling that ties it all together. If you built it, broke it, or automated it, it belongs here.
Homelab - Your lab, your rules. Share your setup, self-hosted apps, home automation projects, and everything you've built just because you could.

I wanted to keep things super simple for now, but if we need more categories just let me know. Heads up that there may be a few bugs to squish along the way, so your feedback is always appreciated.

Looks like we had a bit of a day one bug: The email confirm and password reset style sheets were pure white, and people couldn't see the button. I was able to confirm with a test user that the entire process is fixed and it matches all my snazzy php and css code. 😃 What a pain...sorry y'all! Please let me know if there are any more bugs i need to squish.

Pain? You don't' know the MEANING of pain, pal! (I can't remember what comedy sketch that was from.)
It always takes a little burn in time to even discover what isn't just right, much less address, and fix.
I have minor, minor inputs... mainly because a) I can't see straight, or b) my laptop graphics are shite, or c) I can't/haven't configured my browser or even d) I stuck my fingers in somewhere and can't remember what I futzed up.

Minors:

Need for CSS update or margins added.

(Tried using "alt=" but I've forgotten all my web-fu. "From the "About" page. Text is waaaay to tight on the left page margin.")

All of my problems could easily be just my problems.
The more I see page designs, the more important I think graphic design is (fonts, colors, backgrounds, augmentation, sizes, element relationships, bladda-bladda, and stuff.).
